Dawn Johnston has been in the meeting planning industry for 15 years. Her career began with the Krieble Institute where she planned meetings in the former Soviet Union. She then worked for Williams/Gerard Productions planning national corporate conventions, product reveals and association conferences. She has also served under the CFO of Feld Entertainment for Ringling Brothers Barnum & Bailey and Disney on Ice planning special events and VIP functions. She continues to stay active in the meeting planning industry by assisting Aquarian Entertainment with their corporate productions.
Her experience and background were the basis for starting JumpWorks LLC. She and her husband John started the company in September 2006 with a focus on safety, family and fun. With a vision to provide local festivals, city-wide events, malls and outdoor facilities with the most cutting-edge attractions possible, she sees the company as a "one-stop-shop" for event organizers.
She states "We are not a typical moonbounce company. We are here for the meeting planners and leasing specialists who are bored with traditional entertainment and wish to add something different to their events or venues."
Dawn resides in Bristow, VA with her husband John and their three children.
John Johnston has worked in the corporate aviation industry for fifteen years. He served as Assistant Director of Operations for a large aircraft charter company from 1995-1998 and founded a successful aircraft detailing company in 2000. As an accomplished corporate pilot, John quickly excelled to the top of his industry commanding some of the most sophisticated private aircraft of this generation. John was entrusted with the lives of top level executives, dignitaries, celebrities and their families, and developed an unwavering pledge to safety and excellence.
John felt he reached his goals in aviation and shifted his focus to providing a service that he believed was greatly needed. He had a vision of uniting families, from the youngest child to the oldest parent, through activities that provided the highest level of fun and safety. His desire was to create an atmosphere in which a parent could connect with a child through adventure and exercise. It was with this vision that he co-founded JumpWorks with his wife Dawn in September 2006.
John's corporate aviation clients were accustomed to receiving superior customer service in a professional atmosphere with impeccable surroundings. John applies this same work ethic to JumpWorks by demanding all products be safe, functional, and visually appealing for the customer, their family and venue.
